white as in Navy? because there's many kinds of white-colored beans.

Navy are very tender and smaller than great northern. flavorwise they're very similar, but GN will stay intact better than Navy.

i want to make baked beans. as close to bushs(sp?) as i can and they says "white beans" and then i found some on the shelf that say "white beans" but theyre 3X the price of great northern and look similar so i was kinda hoping theyd taste similar.

try walmart, they're all the same price there. great northern work fine for those, they're just a lot bigger when cooked.

walmart is where i saw the great northern for .89. the white are over 2.39 (the cheapest, and a tiny bag, not the 16oz!) , and walmart only has great northern, split peas, and pintos. there isnt a superwalmart here, its a bit of getting used to lol!

white is a generic term used for any number of beans from baby lima to navy to great northern.

try looking at a local grocery store for dry navy beans.
