Everytime I lat of my right hip, it goes numb within 20 minutes! WHY! This is so annoying! I love sleeping on my right hip! Any suggestions?

Put a pillow between your legs! This happens to me to when I forget to put my pregnancy pillow between my legs when I roll over (rolling over is a huge production!) It always works for me. I hope it helps you too!

I think it may be because the baby puts pressure on your artery that runs down your leg. I had a big prob. w/ this with my 1st. I had to keep switching sides or rotate from left back right throughout the night. Gee I don't miss that!

sciatica? I had it with DS and I'd get shooting pains or numbness in my hips and thighs at any given time.

I don't think that it is my siatica because I have had issues with that darn nerve before and this truly feels numb...like my hip is on pins and needles..

Ugh I get it too and it is so uncomfortable. I have to switch almost every hour on the hour. Even during pregnancy you can't sleep well! Oh well, I guess it's just preparing us for the first few months with baby It does help when I use pillows between my knees, one under my belly and one behind me. Only problem is that leaves little room for DH.

Re: My hip keeps going numb when I am sleeping!

I had this with all 3 pregnancies! If I tried to sleep through it, my hips would be in so much pain! I'm not sure of the cause, but pillows between the knees and under whatever hip I was laying on helped a ton!!!
