Yummy, I will have to make a note of this on my recipe card....

Re: Taco Soup - how does this sound?

So, last night I made the Taco soup.

I used:
black beans and lentils ( 1/2 bag of each)
chicken stock
1/2 lb. ground beef
1 packet of taco seasoning
1 chopped onion
1 can of corn
chopped fresh cilantro
2 fresh chopped tomatoes

It was good! I didn't realize until just now, that I had forgotten the salsa. *shrug* Another day. =)

Yummy!

I love the idea of fresh cilantro and tomatoes! I may make it again this week and add those ingredients, plus avacado... topped with sour cream.

I love this soup! Oh yeah, and if you have leftovers, you can drain off some of the liquid and use it to stuff burritoes too.

I like olives, corn and green chilies in my taco soup as well as the others you listed (though we use beans instead of beef).
