yeah i say contact fuzzi bunz also. this may be a problem with this batch in particular. or a known problem they know how to fix, if nothing else works i'm sure they'd replace your dipes for you (providing you bought them new).

Re: Diapers STILL leaking...PLEASE HELP!!!

I bought most of them off of a mom on here, however she bought them new and she never used them. The rest of them were slightly used so I know they will not give me a new batch. A few of them are working right but the majority of them are not. It is probably the Tide and know I was using to much. I read that the Tide was on the good detergent list. I need to give them a good stripping which I thought I did with the oxyclean and then get a new detergent.

Re: Diapers STILL leaking...PLEASE HELP!!!

We have used Tide for years without any problems
Try using a little less, but run the dipes through a hot wash and hot dry cycle with no detegent, to help reduce your buildup and re-seal your PUL.

Re: Diapers STILL leaking...PLEASE HELP!!!

If you contact the Mom that runs the Fuzzi Bunz store, I'm sure she could help you. She's awesome with FB info. www.fuzzibunzstore.com

This link shows detergents and how "safe" they are for CD's! Hopefully you can get them all working again and maybe try switching detergent. Good Luck!!

Re: Diapers STILL leaking...PLEASE HELP!!!

Personally if I were you I would read and follow Mother of Eden's suggestions for stripping.

www.fuzzibunz.com/care.htm

Quote:
1. Get a good detergent like Allen's Naturally.

2. Run all of your diapers through a plain water hot wash.

3. Run all of your diapers through a hot wash with the full recommended amount of detergent.

4. If the problem is bad, repeat step three.

5. Run a cold rinse. If you have hard water you may want to add a water softener such as Baking Soda or Calgon Water Softener to soften your water and help release any left over detergent.

6. If you still see bubbles in your rinse run another cold rinse.

7. You can either Sun your diapers or tumble on low.

After this process (I know it is involved) you should have very clean diapers that do not smell like anything - no perfume - no urine. When the Fuzzi Bunz are completely dry, if you were having a buildup problem (repelling) take a nasal aspirator and put an insert into the pocket. Fill the nasal aspirator with water and put it close to the fleece and "pee" on the diaper with the aspirator. If it goes through your repelling problem is fixed. However, again, repelling should not be a problem with Fuzzi Bunz diapers.

Water softener. I need to use that ever so often because our water is highly treated.

Re: Diapers STILL leaking...PLEASE HELP!!!

I heard that oxyclean and similar products are not good for the fleece/PUL diapers. They may be harsh on synthetics. I hope that you get it figured out! Hang in there and don't get too discouraged. I know it's frusterating, especially when you've made an investment. In the meantime, if the PUL really has lost it's waterproof abilities, you could spray them with some of that Camp Dry stuff (waterproof spray in a can). But do a little research before you do (read techniques from people that have done it). I've also heard that the vinegar works well for stripping (seems less harsh than Dawn too).
Good Luck!
