So I'm making cream of broccoli tonight from scratch for the first time. Two big surprises:

1. How easy it is to make (why do I ever use canned?)

2. How GREEN it is! LOL I seriously have only ever had canned soup and I just wasn't expecting the vivid St Patricks Day green of fresh. Wow! Tastes great, though! (again, why do I use canned?)

homemade COB soup is the BEST!! Post your recipe if you will...

I used to work at a restaurant as a kid bussing tables, and I still remember the owner used to make the COB soup every day...it was so delicious, but off limits to the staff so we used to sneak bowls of it when the owner was on the floor. Paired w/hot-from-the-oven homemade baked Italian bread...yummy!!!! My favoritie, can you tell!?!
