BG washing advice needed

I am investing on some BG OS pocket dipes and with the amount of money put out i would hate like heck to ruin them with the wrong detergent. What do you use for detergent in them? Also what is your washing method? and do you recommend a wet or dry pail for them? Before i just had some gdipes that i used a prefold in or whatever and we used a wetpail but i just don't know what to do with them and want to do it right.

ETA: please also tell me your experience with BG dipes and also what you think of the HH OS dipes. I know for sure i want a OS dipe and i tried one BG and i like it but some advice from the experts would def help.

What do you use for detergent in them?
I use Purex with no dyes, no detergent. I've even washed them with just Oxyclean without a problem.

Also what is your washing method?
2 hot washes at the laundromat since we can't do an extra rinse cycle.

and do you recommend a wet or dry pail for them?
We do a dry pail with plenty of baking soda, Bac Out on poopy dipes, and a good rinse on the poopy ones as well.

Whatever method you decide to use will be fine in the end. IT's all trial and error really.

Re: BG washing advice needed

I just follow the instructions and the cottonbabies site. They have detergent recommendations and washing instructions. I think it is something like this...or at least this is what I do...
I use Nellie's Soap
cold prewash with no soap
warm wash with soap (once a week I'll do a hot wash)/cold rinse
extra cold rinse
don't use any baking soda, vinegar, bleach, or fabric softeners.
You can hang them to dry most of the way, and then put them in the dryer on warm to finish them off

I use a dry pail, and wash every other day. It is recommended to rinse soiled diapers before placing them in the pail.
