Otherwise, I would just use a fleece soaker or a wool soaker and still put the pjs over top. The carter's pjs are usually really roomy, at least they are for us.
This is what we do as well. My question though is- what do we do once it's too warm for fleece footed jammies? Are you gonna just use fleece soakers on top of a pocket and under cotton jammies? Or just a pocket/soaker with a tshirt?

I've never used any soakers, but think I'm going to purchase some this spring.

Well, when we were having lots of leaking issues with the previous pocket nighttime system, I just put a Wild Child Woolies soaker over DD's pocket diaper to prevent leaks and put her to bed in a cotton footed PJ. But... then we found BG OS pockets never leak at night for her so I now use those. Since they don't leak, I won't have to add the wool soaker but I would if I needed to. It made the diaper bulky but it kept the moisture in. I think the main thing is to find the system that works for you.

Re: "soaker" questions

We use BG OS as well and never have any major leaks. I just feel better knowing he's 2x protected with fleece jammies and worry about having to change something that is finally working well.

Thanks for the help!

I put a fleece soaker over his BGs every night to extra protection. He wears the Carters footed pjs without a problem.

If you put your child in a soker for night, what do they wear for PJs?
Where do you get baby Tshirts that don't ride up? Since you can't really do a onsie with soakers. Can you convert a onsie to a Tshirt?
I use a fitted and a soaker at night with ds. He wears normal pjs-usually carters footed or woollybottoms longies with a long sleeve shirt. He will kick socks off, so he has to have footed bottoms You can make a onsie into a tshirt, just cut off the bottom. You don't even have to hem, mine never frayed.

As for the OP-I use a soaker over his bgos since he peels the velcro off
