Bed Wetting Help!

My wonderful little son is 3 1/2 yrs and is wetting his bed 3+ times a week. I don't give him much to drink before bed or even at dinner, but sometimes he manages to pee before he wakes up.

I don't mind cleaning up the mess, but I know it makes him sad to wake up wet. It's frustrating because we run out of sheets. I don't have a washing machine at home, and we only go to the laundromat twice a month. In a few weeks our little son will be born and I was really hoping to have the bed wetting over with before the baby comes.

Does anyone know of a good "big kid" (non babyish) cloth option for bedtimes? When he was 2 and early 3 he fit into some great cloth "pull ups" that I got on ebay. Now he pees so much that those don't contain it, and they are too tight to add a doubler to.

I don't know how bedwetting and stopping it works but my friend solved her bedwetting issue with her 4 year old. She promised to get her a fish if she stopped wetting the bed. She really wanted a fish so she would get up in the middle of the night and go to the bathroom and no more bedwetting.

My DS wet the bed until he was 8. Nothing worked. We tried alarms, taking him to the bathroom at interval through the night and he still wet the bed. He just wasn't ready yet. Some kids take longer to develop that skill than others. My DS just stopped on his own one day. Until then, we used "goodnight's" pull-ups. Sorry, I know that isn't a popular choice on a CD board, but it worked for us and I don't know what cloth option would hold the amount he could pee at night.

ITA. My dd didn't sleep dry until she was 7-8 (I can't remember exactly when now). For her I used Motherease bedwetter pants & they worked really well. My ds1 (7 yo) & ds2 (5 yo) both sleep in pull-ups. Ds1's legs were too skinny for the bedwetter pants & ds2 has sensory issues & simply wouldn't wear them. I have heard great things about Happy Heiny's stuffable trainers for night time. You can get them sewn shut like underwear. They are cut large so that you can add a bunch of stuffing to them if you need to.
