Sunning out stains...

Okay, we've had some great, hot, sunny days, so I was so excited to finally put some SERIOUSLY stained CB inserts, and a few other mildy stained hemp, cotton and fleece items. 2 days in the sun now, and they look EXACTLY the same... why isn't it working? Do they have to be wet when you hang them? (I hung them already dried). Any other tips?

I hang them wet, and make sure they're facing the sun. If they're really bad I'll wet them with 1/2 lemon juice 1/2 water throughout the day.

Did you dry them in the dryer first???? It could have set the stains...

Yeah, you want to hang them dry right out of the wash. I agree with the PP about lemon juice and water--that always works for us!

Sunning things never worked to get stains out for us.

The sun works miracles for us! As the sun moves, move the dipes so they are always being hit with full sun! Also run them through a rinse or wet them in the sink as they dry throughout the day! Good luck!!

They do need to be wet first, and I second the use of lemon juice for the tough stains. I can't believe how well that works!

I've had great luck with the sun!! I lay or hang them wet, in a day or 2 they're stain free
