This looks fun! You should have seen the look on DH's face when I told him I want to try it! Priceless. Any ideas on how to get the brown nice and dark?

To get a darker brown I usually add the colors that make brown with brown (orange, red, yellow).



Does anyone else have trouble with the rose? It likes to bleed when washed or rub off on skin (or knitting needles haha).

Thanks...I messed around with it trying to make a rust red...so both my red & browns came out decent...I just have to see if I can re-create it haha.

thanks for this post. its exactly what ive been looking for! I tried to dye some wool with wiltons a while back. Im not so sure I did it right because I ended up with pink hands while crocheting! I only have experience dyeing with kool aid!

i got a decent brown with instant coffee? but in no way was it a chocolate brown color?

good tip on the brown, ill try that, i dont remember what pink/red it was that i used but i dyed some fiber and the whole time i was spinning it i had neon pink boogers

rose was the first color I tried to dye with and I had pink hands for a few days when I started to knit with it. I rinsed and rinsed it but It still didnt wash out!
