I'm having GI issues and need to change my diet, BUT I have a question....
I'm concerned that if my body starts to "detoxify" at all that it will negatively impact my little one (she's 5 weeks old now) so I was wondering if anyone has had to do big changes to their diet? (basically I need to switch to a full time healthy diet instead of a semi-part time
healthy diet - including lots more fruits, vegetables, lean protein and a lot less things like Jif peanut butter ![]() and less sugar in my coffee, maybe even cutting out most of the coffee) How did changing your diet effect your little ones health? I just need to get as much info as I can before I do anything (including talking to my ped)TIA ladies!

Your lo will get so much more from you and your healthier diet. I wouldn't worry. Be happy knowing you're giving your lo the best you can. And drink lots and lots of water to help flush all of those "toxins." Not to worry...I love peanut butter too.
I don't drink coffee but love Dr. Pepper. But it truly "energizes" ds2 and I've had limit my intake to sips.

Re: I'm having GI issues and need to change my diet, BUT I have a question....
the big thing is not to drastically cut your calories....it could make producing milk more difficult. also, toxins are stores in fat cells and very rapid weight loss will cause these toxins to be released and you could feel yukky for a few days....but i think that overall eating well can only be a positive thing. good for you for looking at other ways to reclaim your health. i hope it all works out...
