I'd like to make this a weekly thing we all do. It certainly helps me stay on track thru the week...

Monday: Homemade chili w/ cinnamon rolls

Tuesday: Leftovers

Wednesday: Breakfast

Thursday: Spaghetti, corn, french bread

Friday: MIL is buying...as usual

Saturday: English muffin pizzas (dh's fave), something else

Sunday: Burritos, corn, fruit of some kind

Re: What's for dinner this week...Feb 2nd - 8th

Monday - Curry Chicken w/ Peaches and Raisins - Crockpot - Serve w/ Rice
Tuesday - Chicken Parmesan Sandwiches - (Cutlets in Freezer)
Wednesday - Santa Fe Rice and Beans w/ Sausage
Thursday - Chilli - (Freezer) - w/ Cornbread - Serve w/ Sour Cream and
Shredded Cheese
Friday - Homemade Pizza
Saturday - Grilled Marinated Steak w/ Potato (Baked or Grilled) and Fresh
Veggies
Sunday - Pasta w/ Meatballs (X2 or X3 Extra to Freeze) and Garlic Bread

We'll see if I can stick to it... I just recently had a baby and this is my first week at home with DS and the newest addition on my own... Many of these things are already made or partially prepared in the freezer so that should help... The menu is a bit more heavy than we'd normally eat but that's what seems to freeze well...

Hmm..

Monday - Left over ham with leftover potatoes and mac n cheese
Tuesday - Pork roast with stuffing and corn
Wednesday - Pizza from our favorite place "back home" that MIL brought out for us to freeze!
Thursday - ???? No clue for the rest of the week! Sometime back in Decmeber I stocked up on meat cuts, but forgot to lable them in the freezer....So we've been pulling frozen meat out and declaring "What ever this is, is what we are eating.

Maybe I can update this later on! LOL!

Re: What's for dinner this week...Feb 2nd - 8th

I have to say this week isn't the most exciting, but it was all I could think of this morning before I went shopping!

Monday- Leftovers. (I actually cooked too much this weekend!)

Tuesday- Goulash

Wednesday- Chili

Thursday- Stir-fry

Friday- Calzones

Saturday- Corn and Shrimp Cajun soup

Since I don't have to cook today I'm thinking about making some bread for the first time! We'll see how that adventure turns out!

Re: What's for dinner this week...Feb 2nd - 8th

Monday - Stew in the crock pot, and homemade brown bread

Tuesday - Chicken dinner

Wed. - Sausage, vegetable soup and bread

Thurs. - Spaghetti and meatballs, salad, and bread

Friday - Sweet and sour chicken in the crock pot

Sat. - Chicken corn pie

Sunday - Chilli

And after reading threads about bread machines I really want one now. But I've also been wanting to make bread the old fashioned way with my kids too... I need some yeast though.

Lacey; so funny, but just this morning I was thinking about this thread last week, and I thought, "hey, this should be a weekly thing!" Great minds think alike

So here's mine:

Monday: chicken fajitas
Tuesday: grilled burgers, salad, roasted potatoes
Wednesday: meatloaf, rice n' vermicelli, peas
Thursday: chicken pot pie
Friday: spaghetti and homemade meatballs, french bread, salad
Saturday: steak, garlic mashed potatoes, carrots
Sunday: black bean enchiladas, salad

Thanks for once again helping me to get organized!

Re: What's for dinner this week...Feb 2nd - 8th

Don't know yet Usually I have this done on Sundays and have already grocery shopped but not today. Will have to think about it. I know that I want to try some recipes from the Body for Life cook book.

Will have to post after I decide what we are going to have.

Ok, took the time while supper was cooking to make a menu for the week.

Tonight: Spaghetti, corn, cottage cheese and salad
Tues: Banquet meal (neighbors gave us), fruit
Wed: Beef and vegie soup, grilled cheese sandwiches
Thurs: Chicken quesadillas, refried beans, corn spoonbread
Friday: Sesame beef stir fry
Sat: Sausage and rice casserole, Paula Deen recipe
Sunday: Egg salad sandwiches, chips, pickles

I found a web site with recipes for mamas who are breastfeeding so I am going to add a few for lunches for me. I will add those later.

So... did you make the bread? I wanted to but I didn't get a chance... and I still don't have yeast.

I did! It was my first experience with yeast bread (I usually avoid yeast) and it turned out OK. I think it should have risen more, but it's certainly not inedible. I'm not sure if my recipe was the best. I have a KitchenAid mixer and I used that to knead, but maybe that recipe wasn't suited to that? I would be open to any great yeast bread recipes (especially if you've tested then with a mixer).
