Annoying Things ppl say...
"She couldn't possibly be hungry AGAIN."
um...YES, she could! She is only days old! "Is she sleeping or eating?" BOTH! Stop insinuating that I should take her off the boob...and don't you DARE say she is using me like a passie. OK, just had to get that out.

Re: Annoying Things ppl say...
I've heard both statements many times from strangers as well as from the closest family...just ignore them and do what you think is right.

Re: Annoying Things ppl say...
How annoying...my sister asked me the other day "how much longer are you going to do that?" --that was annoying since they know I believe in child led weaning..ugg

Re: Annoying Things ppl say...
Hugs! I feel you, I'm nursing my third son and people often feel the need to make comments for some reason.
You are the Mom not them period. |

Re: Annoying Things ppl say...
Hang in there mama! And don't give in to any pressure! When my mom visited (DS was 2 weeks), she pressured me to not feed him at times, and when we had our next Ped visit (about 4 days later), he hadn't gained enough! So I told her that I was planning to listen to my baby, not her, and feed on demand! To be fair, she really did think she was helping out--she wanted to take him on walks so I could get a break. But it backfired. Not permanently, though: now he's a roly, fat, nearly 4-month old.

Re: Annoying Things ppl say...
Oh I just LOVED comments like that because I always got to say, 'Why are you paying so much attention to my boobular area?' That usually shut people up.

Re: Annoying Things ppl say...
I know... I get comments from everywhere. It drives me crazy.. I don't go around criticizing ppl who formula feed and ask them when they are going to stop.

Re: Annoying Things ppl say...
I would never listen to any of the comments or do what others think, especially when it comes to breastfeeding.
It really makes me want to ask ppl "are you really going to eat another piece of____________" "Are you eating agian?! Don't you think you have had enough?!" That would be really mean tho

Re: Annoying Things ppl say...
my mom, of all people a crunchy granola no armpit shaving recycling, etc., asked me the other day - when is he gonna get off that t*t?
i told her when he goes to college and finds a pair he likes better... i mean what do you say to that garbage? he has feeding issues and only nurses 5 minutes a day as it is now anyway... |
