Red Raspberry leaf tea and heartburn anyone?

I'm about 37 weeks and started having horrible heartburn. I know that heartburn is VERY common in pregnancy. Trust me all my other 4 pregnancies were horrible w/ heartburn. But this time I have been pretty lucky.
I have really starting drinking LOTS of RRL tea (hot and cold) the last week or so. And even when I eat bland things my heartburn is really bad. The only think I can think of is the tea. Anyone else had this happen? I don't want to stop the tea, but OMG!

Do you put sugar in the RRLT? When I drink regular tea with sugar I get heartburn really bad. Good luck.

I was using stevia (very tiny amount), but I think that might have been what it was. I left it out today. It hasn't been so bad tonight. Thanks!

I meant to say the chewable papaya enzymes, you can get them at a vitamin store.

Re: Red Raspberry leaf tea and heartburn anyone?

I've change our diets drastically since my last baby. I used to have severe acid reflux and during pg it felt as if it were eating through my sternum. I've been really blessed w/this baby! I could even eat grapefruit and other really acid food into my 3rd trimester.

But, at this point, I have to avoid tomatos, grapefruit, most juices, bananas (that's weird) and all fruit/herbal teas. It's a bummer, but unless I want to be miserable or puking up acid...it's gotta be! Sorry, Mama!

Well, I'm happy to say I think it was the stevia/sugar/sweetener. I haven't had any issues last night or today. YEAH!
