Re: Will she be walking by Christmas ?? :)
I saw an interesting documentary a couple of yrs ago with a pediatrician who said his patients were always amazed because he could predict when their children would be walking with great accuracy. He said that he looks for a falling reflex (sorry, I don't recall what he called it). If dc puts their hands out to break their fall, they are very close to walking. This was his theory, and it makes sense. It was true for my ds. If a child doesn't put their arms out and falls head first, they will take a little longer to learn to walk. Just a theory, but very interesting. . .

Re: Will she be walking by Christmas ?? :)
I saw another pre-step today
Just kind of a shuffle with one foot but hey atleast she is thinking of walking. Just seeing her stand on her own is still soo amazing. I sit there and don't realize it but i am holding my breath when she does it. I have to say this age( 14 months) is awesome. What does it mean when they are on all fours crawling and then stop and straighten their back legs(with butt in the air)? Is this how they learn to stand up without holding onto anything?
