Re: It's Friday I'm in love.....with WOOL!

morning everyone! i am SO sleepy!!!

last night i went to the atlanta symphony with my moms boyfriend and it was AWESOME! i'm a soprano and the ASO was featuring christine brewer --- a pretty awesome soprano! it was great!!

i've got to really bust my butt on a custom today. i've had to frog it 3 times b/c of pooling issues. i should have been done by now but i'm only just past the first short row.

what are you guys working on? anyone wanna make me some socks?! i am SO not good at sock-making but i so want a pair of wool socks!!!!

ETA: i got my first MM yarn in the mail yesterday --- thank you katie! i LOVE it!!

Good morning!

Anyone know what's going on with Selah? Says on the site they're stocking today, but no previews up

I will be back with pictures in a little while. I'm waiting for the sun.
This makes me think of when Old Navy had this seed stitch hoodie one season and the entire stock sat even on clearance lol. Anyway, it would be something different, so it could be neat!

I'm finishing up some longies using Amy's (Alligator Knits) yarn in a colorway she dyed to match a Chinese Candy diaper cut, and I must say, the pooling haters on here will love them. I had to alternate skeins in the body but it came out *perfectly*. I'll get pics later today or tomorrow

how EXACTLY did you do that? i've been having pooling issues with the custom i'm workign on right now and can't figure out the best way to alternate ---- do you cut and weave in each time you change? that doesn't sound right but i can't figure it out.....

I accidentally bought more yarn this morning.

More Elliebelly sock yarn. This:

I just carry the yarn down one row and alternate every row. Closes up the holes, and unless you're looking really, really closely, you can't tell.

It actually started at 10 last night and she was up every hour? not sure what was up with that. She is sleeping now of course.

Molly, love that sock yarn!! I need to learn to do socks sometime.

I bought one skein of this http://hyenacart.com/prod_details.php?id=81051&vid=9 during the preorder. I think I want to make something for myself with it. What should I make? The other option is to get trim and make DD a skirty. What would you do with it?

so you work both skeins at once? I have not had major pooling issues yet, so I want to be ready and know what to do when that happens.
