that's the only thing that's stopping me right now. if they take the same amount of time, what's the point? right now, i HATE i-cords b/c they take forever. so i do either crochet chains or one other but i like the way i-cords look. so i'm trying to decide if time-wise it's worth it.

You can see it makes what almost looks to me like a mini 4 stitch i-cord (it is kind of square instead of being round like the one the MM lucet makes). The ONLY issue I have is that this one is really made for thread so if you put the cord through the hole you see on the bottom it tends to make merino and other more pilly wools fuzzy (you can see this cord is fuzzy I had it pulled through the hole I don't pull them through the hole at all anymore and no more issues). I just don't use the hole though (didn't use it on the MM one either) -- it is really only there to keep the finished cord out of your "work zone".

Does that one work? He also makes them from different woods mine is in cherry and I love it, I've had it long enough that it is starting to darken and he does a wonderful job sanding them they are so soft in your hand. Shipping was uber fast from him as well!

We definitely should! The only problem is it isn't in her co-op/wholesale gallery, maybe we can see if someone will beg her to do it special for that co-op (man I would be in so much pp trouble I would seriously order like 6 skeins to make mama something -- or maybe some roving that would be yummy handspun).
