Re: B2B - Back to Basics "Why are these pink?!" Tuesday

Seems quiet now - think I'll crawl back to bed. Probably won't be on much. We'll just have to see.

Heidi sorry for the diaper dying problems
I hope all the sick kiddos start feeling better
I just found out we are having a snow day.....why a fit....well someone at central office made the decision that librarians have to report on snow days.....why don't know, I am there to serve teachers and students and with no teachers and students I have NOTHING to do.
Oh well at least I am out at noon, we are off to Gallup to see my midwife about some birth/hormone control.

WOTB: LL fitted and pink recycled wool.

Re: B2B - Back to Basics "Why are these pink?!" Tuesday

morning...things seem to be going ok here this morning so I'm hoping on for a minute while the kids are still here...I'm getting ready to sign agenda books and send the older 3 off to their bus! Then DD3 and I get to hang out for 15 mins or so and off to her bus she goes....then I have to go downtown to drop off some paperwork, take baby to daycare and off to work....

nothing exciting on the agenda tonight...just dinner, maybe laundry and hanging out...oh, I have to help DD3 figure out what she is going to bring in for the 100 days of school celebration which is tomm....they get to bring a ziploc full of things like cheerios, raisins, marshmallows, etc...

WOTB: UB trifolded prem with PUL cover and cotton pj's, diaper's probably wet so we'll see what will be next!

Re: B2B - Back to Basics "Why are these pink?!" Tuesday

about the dipes. I had something bleed on mayas clothes and i soaked them over night in clorox 2 and it got everything right out. Not sure if its ok for dipes........

I think we may have found a car and it is less then i wanted to spend.

On the downside I'm getting really worried about Maya. She is still having blood in her stools. Everytime i turn around I'm finding dairy in something else I'm eating, so at this point i can't even tell if she has more then a dairy allergy. My friend just taught me about kosher labeling, so hopefully i can get it all out now. Its so frustrating .

WOTB: BG OS stuffed w/hemp prefold. about to be changed and I'm praying her poop looks good this time

heidi, i would do a long soak in oxyclean (like over night) and if that doesnt work then i would try very diluted bleach (just a bit tho)

Kari, sorry your brood is going down fast. Ugh.

Heidi, I don't know what to do about your pink diapers. I'd second an oxyclean soak.

I woke to the High Priestess of the Order of the Snuggy:

Obviously she's thrilled. My kids are so weird. I guess they get it from me!

I'm ss to hear that Maya is still having trouble digesting something...I hope you're able to figure out what it is quickly so she feels better (and you do too!).

I hadn't thought about soaking them overnight...I checked them after the bleach load and they're lighter pink but still definitely pink. Maybe I'll pull them out of the washer so I can run a load of towels that need washing and then soak them over night with OxiClean. I went ahead and ordered 1 new toddler pf and some new premiums...dumb, I know, but it made me feel better. I think we need to phase out the light browns, so having extra premiums will make that easier.

Cheryl, your dd is so cute in her Snuggy blanket!

Michelle, are you sure it's dairy she's sensitive to, and dairy only? #1 was, but often when they are sensitive to dairy they are also sensitive to soy. #1 is part asian indian, and they are almost never sensitive to soy, so it wasn't a problem for us but it often is for other caucasians and ethnicities. I do remember that she did have some, but not much, blood in her stool until I got dairy out of my system, which took a month. You might want to take her to a pediatric allergist. #1 didn't test allergic to anything, but they still had lots of advice for food sensitivities.
