WOTA: work unitl 10:30 then off to Gallup foe training with other district librarians. We try to get together for training atleast 1 a month since we are all solo librarians and it gives us a chance to bounce stuff off eachother.

Question for ya...from yesterday...do wovens over time delevop pin holes? I made my prefitteds from woven diaper cuts t hat I already had...just wondering....

And has anyone used fleece succesfully in the summer months? Ie soakers and shorties....I missed out on all of my woolies being sick. 2 of them got sold to othes since I wasn't able to pay promptly...one of the others got traded and the last one didn't like my trade after seeing it....

How awesome about the new car! DH and I shared a car for the 10 months we were back in the States between assignments and again for the first two months we were here, and it got really old really fast. It's so nice to have a second vehicle.

MH and Stephen (my DS) must have been talking yesterday, because he was up a bunch last night too. I hate teething. Really, really hate it.

Those are beautiful! I love the burnt orange and turquoise...DS has a couple of pairs of Zutano pants that are orange, turquoise, red and brown, and they're my favorite of his "regular" clothes. I love those colors together.

I don't know about the woven prints and pin holes, and haven't used fleece in the summer before although I've heard that it can get hot. Probably less hot than PUL, though?

if you look closely you can see it's splotchy - I think I might have over loaded the dye bath so it didn't dye evenly. It's still pretty (it has splotches of pink) but it's not solid purple like I wanted it to be

Morning! Yes, sometimes I wish we were in a colder climate. Those three years in Chicago were nice. But almost all our extended family is in a 90 mile radius, so it's nice to be close to family. That's what I tell myself in the 100+ temps of August.

Yay for car! I seriously cannot live without my own car here. I walk the kids to school and the park, but that's it. There is at least one medical appointment of some kind every week, and I'd have no other way to get there. This is a driving city, public transit is pretty inefficient here unless you are taking the train to downtown. Not like Chicago at all, where you can get anywhere by bus or train if you don't want to walk! My car has about a year left on the payments (from back when then gave 0 interest loans) and I am SO looking forward to diverting that money to debt snowball. DH is already telling me I should trade up my car to a bigger model, but I am perfectly fine squishing the three kids in the back of my Saturn Vue. He wants the option of being able to take one set of grandparents in the car too, but phooey on that. Let 'em follow me.

Wednesdays are my busy days. Gotta take #1 to physical therapy. I'm hoping they'll discharge her soon, so we can do fun activities like some sort of team sport or art/music class or storytime or something instead of this. There's only a small window when the girls are considered in the same age group and can sign up for the same classes (age 3-5), and PT is burning up that window.

yesterday dh took the boys on a road trip for his job and then to the zoo on the way home - it was great! I got to practice crochet, clean in peace, and recreated a pair of maternity jeans that actually stay up! Too bad the zipper portion is a bit crooked

btw I saw dritz in the fsot accesory section if anyone is hunting

i cant imagine using fleece shorties in the summer - i mean maybe its cooler than plastic but not than cotton kwim ....... I really like the dappi pull ons in the summer too - my los have been prone to heat rash but done fine with those covers compared to pul covers - and it seems a lot cooler than fleece or wool unless you are just going with a thin cover - like a little beetles or something similar
