recipe for spinach and artichoke dip?
We have had it out many times and it is my fave appetizer - but best of all DS attacks it! I NEED to figure out how to make this at home so I can get some great veggies in him. LOL
What kinda cheeses do I use? How do I cook it? etc. Thanks!! |

Re: recipe for spinach and artichoke dip?
This is my favorite appetizer too.
I know I have a recipe for it somewhere but I can't find it right now. If I find it I'll post it. I think it has frozen spinach, canned artichokes, shredded cheddar cheese. Sorry I can't be more helpful right now.

Re: recipe for spinach and artichoke dip?
That recipe looks great! Whenever I've made it I've used Ricotta cheese, parmesan and mozzerella and mixed it together with frozen spinach and artichokes, added a little bit of chopped garlic and either baked it or put it in my crock pot for the day. Mine turns out pretty good but I'm thinking that using cream cheese would make it richer...

Re: recipe for spinach and artichoke dip?
yep! Runningdiva's recipe is the nummiest ... I've made it quite a bit too minus the lemon juice and it's easy, pretty quick and soooo good.

Re: recipe for spinach and artichoke dip?
If you don't mind cheating......here's the condensed version:
Buy it premade at Trader Joes!! It comes frozen in a little box & you pop the whole container of dip into the microwave for a couple minutes & voila!! Instant hot dip!

Re: recipe for spinach and artichoke dip?
That recipe sounds fantastic! I am a spinach dip fiend and cannot wait to make this! I like to make fococcia bread with baby spinach and tomatoes and garlic and parmesan on top, cut slices, and then slather them with spinach dip. Man, I am going to be in hog heaven

Ok this is a little different( no spinich) but I had to post. I've made this alot and always had so many people wanting more. I actually made a bunch for a work party and we didn't finish it. Well the next everyone day wanted it so my boss asked me to go home (on the clock, a half hour drive one way) to get the rest of it. I got it from my sister so I can't take credit
. Its Artachoke dip, this is the easiest think to make....Here goes.LMK if anyone does it2-6 or 8 oz marinated artachoke jars(drained and chopped, I rinse off some of the oil) 1/2 cup of Grated Parm 1/2 cup of mayo(I've also used Veganaise) 4 Green onions (chopped finely) 2 tsp GREEN Tabascco ( I actually add more, this is what makes it so good) mix all ingre. Transfer into a shallow baking dish and bake at 375 for 1/2 hour. Then I sometimes add just a little grated parm to the top to make it look good
