I would definitely call the parents and make sure it's ok. I know I'd be a little freaked out if my dd came home and said that she took a bath with her friend and the parents didnt call and ask me if it was ok first.

I would just tell the friend you're giving your daughter a bath, and ask her if she'd like to take one too. And probably call that parents just to make sure, depending on how well I knew the parents. If it was some close friends of mine, I know they'd be fine with it.

I don't see why not, I remember bathing with friends when I was younger. In fact, my very best friend and I did until we were much older. I would double check with her mom, though, just to make sure.

Re: Bathing young girls together??? Okay or not?

Thanks for all the input guys

I asked the girls and they both seemed pretty excited about the idea (they get changed for dress up in front of each other so I'm guessing the nakey thing isn't really an issue.)

I'm not on really close terms with her parents... they just kinda drop her off sometimes But I do have their number, so I think I will call just to be on the safe side.

I thought about the swim suits and I like that idea... but I can't seem to find 2 of my DD's bazillion (unused) swimsuits anywhere Of course that means I'll find 5 tomorrow

I guess the consensus is that they'll take a bath together as long as it's okay with the little girl's mom.

Thanks for the advice mamas!!!

Apparently they gave me the wrong number.

I guess I'm just going to give them a bath with LOTS of extra bubbles and hope for the best I honestly don't want her friend sleeping in DD's trundle bed without giving her a good soak

I would call and ask the other girl's parents permission first. I wouldn't have a problem with it, but I would like to be asked first anyway.

I would personally say its ok before kindergarten. But I would also check with the parents. If they are 5 and in kindergarten, I would say swimsuits or the other can sit in the bathroom if the curtain is closed to keep the other one company. But that's me.
