Re: my brest friend or boppy?

My Breast Friend! My sister bought it for me after seeing moms in the NICU new to breastfeeding try to use both that and a shaped nursing pillow that didn't strap on and was rounded to the sides. It is way harder to get started with a pillow that can slip off

I have a boppy and hate it,lol. I would rather use a pillow off the couch or bed, much easier imo. I am also small breasted so that may be why.

I can't speak to the deluxe, but I love my regular MBF. I use it for all night feeds and it was essential the first week or so. I think it works great for small-breasted women.

I've only used a boppy and I loved it. I used it alot and he helped with nursing and when he fell asleep on me. I didn't think it was to bad. But once he started to wiggle around the boppy days where done. I still have it and will probably use it when it's time for baby #2.

I had 2 boppies, one upstairs and one downstairs, I liked it, but I never hada MBF... So I can't compare them, But I did like my boppy and I think the price is great! I will be taking mine with me to the hospital when we have #2

Re: my brest friend or boppy?

I have a boppy and really want to try mbf. I liked the boppy for putting the baby in but I was always fighting with it to keep it pushed around me. I thought about sewing some ties on the ends of the cover so I could keep it tight where it didn't fall away from my postpartum belly. I found I would use a couple of pillows squished up where I wanted them more than the boppy. Maybe if I had a smaller waist it would have been better but I'm pretty average sized. I think they made it with very slim women in mind.

The Boppy has never worked for me - I think it only works for skinny mommas.

I loved the MBF pillow - the back actually felt good for lower back support for me. Sometimes it might be a little awkward to put on - but after it's on, I really like it.

I was thinking of writing in my reply that maybe it works better for the fluffier Mamas cuz it wasn't a good fit for me.
