Love the title! (I'm a big BonJovi fan ). Any idea how much yarn It would take for a soakerless skirtie for a tall, thin 2yr old (38" tall, 32lbs)? She's still in CD (so has the fluffy but) but is in pockets.

Do you have a pattern in mind? Most patterns will give you an estimate of either ounces or yardage and weight of wool.

Hey Angelina! My little one is 36 inches, 28 lbs and 2 years old. A soakerless skirty for her takes about 200 yds - so a little less than a skein of WW. This is the pattern I've used. Sooooo easy and very quick!

I actually need a good skirty pattern. I really like the Sheepy Pants for, well, pants, but I don't have anything for skirties yet. I guess that would be the 1st logical step.

I'm hoping to be making some more of them over the next few months. And I'm working on a skirtie pattern too!

Seriously though, once I get the pattern totally finished, I'm probably going to make it available for ravelry download. It's just really complicated to figure out the sizing, so until I have a few more pairs finished and can figure out where to make adjustments, I can't really consider it a pattern as much as a bunch of notes scribbled on a piece of paper!

That skirt will be perfect for my DD's! And if it's that will be perfect for me too! DH is on vacation this so maybe I can finally start dying. He is starting to do screen printing, so bring on the cute sets!
So.... any tips for a newbie dyer? I'm using Jaquard acid dyes.
Wow, I'm just full of questions early in the morning, don't worry, I'll be leaving work soon!)
