Soothing Upset Stomach

This is Mr. titania,

titania is holding one of our poor boys who has a stomach flu. Is there something we can give a 13 month old to sooth his stomach?

I believe Chamomile tea is safe for babies. We really like gripe Water too, it has ginger in it to soothe tummy's and it tastes good so ds doesn't mind taking it.

Poor little!

Anything with peppermint (esp teas) and ginger is good for tummies. I've been known to make cookies using peppermint extract though!

Homeopathics would be antimonium tartaricum or antimonium crudum. I'd go with a 30 c if you can find it. If he's puking a LOT be sure he stays hydrated. you can make ice cube/popsicles out of anything liquid, something from a tea or pedialite or whatever.

Also you can try putting a hot water bottle on his tummy, which won't cure him but it helps make him feeeeeel better. These kinds of things don't usually last long, but dehydration is the BIG issue. If you think he is getting dehydrated (check here for symptoms ), you will need to take him to emerg.

Good luck papa!!
