Tide HE.... Really??

When I started using cloth a few years ago things like Tide were a big NO NO. I have gotten a new washer and dryer.. a Samsung FL set. I picked them because they have a heated sanitize cycle and we already had a new baby on the way and I figured it would be good for diaper laundry. I am now trying to pick a washing routine to try and keep seeing Tide HE powder here on the board. I am tempted to try it, but terrified at the same time since I was first taught it was a huge no no. Can I use a liquid Tide HE (if there even is one?)? I use Purex HE right now on our clothes, and have thought of it for diapers as well, but I'm not sure yet. I have also thought of Allens but I just don't know... I would rather buy something I can get locally.

I love it. I use the powder though as it seems to rinse out easier. Also I have given up almost all synthetic diapering materials.

I use Tide HE powder for my inserts and use Tide Free & Clear for the covers. I use Fuzzi Bunz. Allens was horrible for me. It was great for a few weeks and then I had major stink.

Re: Tide HE.... Really??

I second, or really third the Tide HE powder. I just gave up onTIde HE liquid for my dipes because it was leaving too much residue and making my pf's crunchy. I LOVE my FL, my dipes are super clean and even some white sheets I thought I had ruined by bathing myself in coco cutter during pregnancy came back to life.

Where are you finding the HE powder? All I seem to find is the liquid.

That's where I looked last night. NONE of their powdered detergents were HE.

Yep. We love it here too! It is the only thing that works for us and the frontloader.

Wal Mart. I found it at the end of the detergent aisle and not with the liquids at all.
