Re: I know this wool was heaven sent...lord knows I know not where my paypal went...

Hi girls,

Need some advice. I have a pair of NB longies on the needles for my guy due in April. I worked so hard on the body to keep the pooling away, felted joins all over the place. But now the legs are pooling badly. I don't know what to do except rip back to the gusset and decrease by 3 or 4 stitches... here is a picure:

Do you have more than one skein that you could alternate with?

The body turned out beautifully!!! Great job, Amy.

Oh, I have to run. DD and a friend are getting off the school bus any minute. (In Toti school buses are trucks with open beds that they cram as many kids as they can into and drive like crazy! Schools are private and tuition based. Get off the computer Kim! Now )

Before you rip it back try the other leg with 3-4 stitches less and see what it looks like. That way if it doesn't improve you don't rip as much out.

Good point! I've already ripped it back once or twice and it's such a PITB. I honestly don't even want to look at these anymore! I only have the one skein to work with and everytime I alternate skeins it looks so wonky at the seam...

At least my Ponderosa is working up beautifully! This targhee will be bulletproof!

Thanks! I got it prewound and she did one big skein. I am horrible at alternating too. Always leaves a wonky seam though i've had some success in the past, i just can't seem to get it consistent.

The body has several felted joins. LOL I am really happy with the way that turned out which is why I'm so stressed over the legs!!
