Re: BASICally Fluffy Friday

Yeah for new baby! Can't wait to see pics.

Scheduled day off today, but a home basketball game tonight. 1/3 of my band is skiing with the youth group and several more are out of town or otherwise busy for the evening so my drumline is going to play a little bit and we'll call it a night.

We're basically all prefolds, but I have sewn a few fitteds that DH doesn't reach for. They aren't as absorbant and I need to make doublers for them. We use sposies at night. Every once in a while I will reach for the one bumGenius we have. I've made a quick snap flap wrap (with no closure) and plan to make more, but I need to alter the pattern a little bit to fit Amelia better.

We've been having issues with Sadie's potty training. She does really well if she's bottomless, but if we put panties on her, she usually wets them. She won't use the big potty at all so using the potty at stores is a no go. I'm considering trying a sticker chart with her where she gets a sticker every time she uses the potty and doesn't wet her panties. DH is on board with that idea, and I have a zillion stickers.

WOTA:
*Clearing a space for DH to set up my new computer/sewing table. (It's a huge desk with room my for laptop, sewing machine, and room to spare for cutting and whatnot.)
*load dishwasher (DH unloaded it yesterday)
*put away diaper laundry - maybe take stash pics
*fold and put away regular laundry
*wash more regular laundry
*get girls cleaned up to go to the game
*maintain my sanity

WOTB: Sadie - nothing, Amelia - white-edge prefold with a yellow Thirsties cover

Re: BASICally Fluffy Friday

A new baby!

We've got a little bum rash today, it's my fault. I let my son get out of the car at his auntie's house when I was dropping his cousins off, he stayed over there probably three hours in the same cloth diaper. I didn't tell his aunt he was in cloth and would need to be changed. He had on a PF with a fleece cover under jeans so he didn't pee through to his pants and she didn't realize it. (Usually no cover even if he has pants on so if he pees enough she knows it if he's got cloth on; he usually wears disposables over there.) So now his legs are rashy where his diaper touches and he's a bit red in the rectal area. (Can I say that here?) I slathered on some ointment at bedtime and put him in a sposie, and he just got up so I changed him into a t-shirt PF.

Well anyway I got some work wrapped up last night and have some more to start on today but it's not tons. I have some sewing to do to for a trade with a mama, and I'm expecting a box of fabric tomorrow to do some sewing for another mama. So I need to do my sewing for the trade today so I can be clear when the fabric gets here. It's all RRPs like the diaper in my avatar.

You ladies have a great Friday if I don't make it back in!
