Ditto that, my medela ones were made of the cheapest flannel and they're painful to wear. The free ones I got from WIC are softer.

I don't know about mastitis and the disposable vs cloth ones.

I had mastitis SOOOOO many times and haven't used any cloth ones yet. I know my LLL Leader keeps telling me to get rid of my nursing pads. I guess I just never bothered to ask why. I assumed it was because they don't breathe.

If you get mastitis, check out the ones from Chessie. She's making some that are heat therapy ones. Which would be GREAT for mastitis! You could just tuck it in your bra, not having to sit with a hot washrag or heating pad!
