Re: Teeth
Taci just got her first two teeth and she seemed to be in pain when I tried to nurse her laying down.

Re: Teeth
Is she parallel to you when nursing? If i nurse dd while on my back i have her parallel to me(facing me while laying next to me) and i let her head rest on my upper arm. I don't know if nursing this way would bother the teeth unless her jaw is sore and pressure on it from laying on your arm hurts her.
I don't know how people nurse laying down other than what my dd does. My dd has 6(yes, i said 6) teeth all coming through her gums(at different stages) at the moment. She doesn't seem to care how i nurse her as long as she gets to nurse.

Re: Teeth
Hmmmm I guess every baby can be different.....I think Jackson nurses more when he is teething, but he is a comfort feeder and always has been with his tummy/reflux issues.

Re: Teeth
Yes there is most definitely a connection. Laying down as well as nursing can be painful for teething babies. I don't remember why w/the laying down, but w/nursing it is the suction that causes the pain while teething.

Re: Teeth
My ds hates side-lying when he's teething, too. Thankfully, that's his only teething "symptom," other than the buckets o' drool, of course.
