Are you nesting yet? I didn't really nest with my first two kids but this time around I have been. It's kind of weird and nice and the same time!!

Re: Nesting

Yes, I totally am! I've been decluttering, organizing, cleaning - I've got 2.5 weeks to go and want every little thing taken care of before baby gets here. Baby clothes/blankets/dipes are all washed and ready to go. I've started a list of things to pack for me and baby (I'm having a c/s so I'll be there 3 days), and I might even make up a bunch of ready-to-go frozen meals since DH will be in charge for a couple weeks after I get home.

Re: Nesting

I didn't with my first.

This time I'm de-cluttering BIG TIME. We've gotten rid of our hutch, love seat, and 2 tables. Now we can LIVE in our house instead of walking around a bunch of big furniture

Re: Nesting

I always did a bit with my other 2. But I am MEGA nesting this time around and I am only 20 weeks.

DH thinks it's because with #1 we were living with our parents (DH was looking for work).
#2 we were packing the whole pregnancy. We were moving from Indiana to Ohio 3 weeks after DS was born. So not so much "nesting" as I was making sure I had very little to do after he was born (in the 3 week span of him being born and us moving we also spent 1 week at even more of a rush to pack).

So this is my first one where I will have her/him at the same place we will be staying at after he/she is here!

We only moved in 6 months ago, but I am a nut! Scrubbing, cleaning, re-arranging drawers and closets. More importantly I am sending off all our unused "junk" to Goodwill! Not that it is truely junk...just that we have so much stuff that we hold on to "just in case"!

Re: Nesting

I'm not.

I can't really nest though because we're moving next month, lol- very soon before my due date.

Re: Nesting

I am not so much yet. But I have a while to go still. I was given a bunch of boy clothes the other day. I dumped out the boxes, sifted through everything, then stuffed it all into the dresser that will be little man's. I will wash them one day. We haven't done anything else yet. Maybe in the next month or so I will get some energy.

Re: Nesting

NOPE. This is my third and I've NEVER nested! All I want to do is avoid any and all housework! My main concern has been building my NB diaper stash! LOL The dishes are taking over my house, the floors need vacuumed like crazy but here I sit. I wish I had that nesting instinct but it totally skipped me!!!

Re: Nesting

I've been sewing baby stuff since the 4th month, but only a few days a week, so I'm not counting that as nesting.

I grow a ton of vegetables and sew organic baby diapers! I blog about it here.
