Re: Need tips for removing crayon from walls

We had to deal with this just last week. I have a homemade spray with dr. bronners, water, and tea tree oil that I tried, and it worked like a charm.

Does this work for general cleaning or taking stains out of clothing? What are the measurements?

My DD mentioned that at school they "play" in the gym to get the scuff marks off the floor. The cleaning guy took a few hockey sticks and put a tennis ball on the end (the end with no blade). He cut a slit in the ball like the kids do for the legs of their chairs. And when the kids rub the tennis ball on the floor it takes off the scuff marks from their running shoes. I don't know but the same idea may work on the wall if you didn't want to use chemicals.

Sorry, I'm not at home right now so I can't look it up, but it's a recipe from Karen Logan's "Clean House Clean Planet" book. I use it for spraying the bathroom sink for quick disinfecting.

I don't think I'd use it on laundry stains though. There's a lot of tea tree oil in there, like maybe 20-30 drops, and I've never heard that TTO (or dr. bronner's) is very helpful for stain removal. Actually, my DD also draw all over the cushions on our recliner that day, and we got the crayon marks out with Shout.

I didn't read the rest of the posts, so this might have already been mentioned...we use magic eraser for that and it has worked.
