Doesn't want it until her brother has it.
That's both of my kids too

That's Juliana too! She is proficient with a regular sippy but still can't drink from a straw. She sees Howie taking sips of mine and DH's lattes and wants to do it herself too, but all she does is put her mouth over the straw. She hasn't figured out that if she sucks, stuff will come out. I had success with a pouch of capri sun one time. I squirted it into her mouth when she had the straw in there, then she realized. But she hasn't been able to drink from any straws since then

I'm about to put my dipes out on the deck for some sun and then get in the shower. I ended up soaking the really stained soakers in oxi-clean overnight and then just rinsing them while I brought the kids to daycare, so now they're ready for sun! I also ordered some RLR yesterday . . . maybe if I do have hard water, the mineral deposits on the dipes are part of the reason they stain so easily/permanently. I'll keep everyone posted

Only here would anyone else care about the stains on my kids' diapers

Re: Happy Wednesday from your BSRB Early Bird!

I think I have to stay strong. I am waiting on an e-check I accepted last week to clear (still!) and I am waiting on payment from a mama who bought my patsy panda last night, and if I had those payments I could buy one. I'm expecting an invoice from Joyce today, so I just need to hold onto the paypal for a BIT longer.

Re: Happy Wednesday from your BSRB Early Bird!

I am "training" DD to wean away maybe 1 feeding...I managed to get her to eat 2oz of formula...she wasn't thrilled but she did it...better than she normally does with other things, thats for sure.

Question, how long would 2oz formula keep a child full for? I am SO unaccustomed to formula!

When Howie (who was FF) was the age Ivy is now, he was drinking 6 oz. of formula about 4-5 times a day (4 times if he STTN, 5 times if there was a nightwaking). I do believe that he took in more liquids that Juliana did from BFing, so if I were you and trying to replace one of my BF baby's feedings with formula I'd probably consider 4 oz a good replacement. That, in addition to incidental solids, should keep her full for about 3 hours, IMO.
