FRiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiday! Basically!

We are the basic broads - the ones who appreciate a good flat, PF, any cover or wool, and a homemade diaper - even if we only have one in our stash. We are very chatty and get wildly off-topic. But hop in and hold on for dear life!

I've been up since 4:30am because #3 is trying to kill me. What about you guys?

Re: FRiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiday! Basically!

Morning. Alarm clock finally forced me out of bed shortly after 6. I am so ready for the weekend. I have lots of decluttering in mind to do....we'll see how much of it I get done. Fridays are shorter days at school and elementary has no school today so I don't have to travel there. That means bonus planning time for me - much needed.

WOTA:
Feed Amelia before going to work.
Get Sadie changed out of diaper into panties.
Drive to work and teach four classes.
Mail some things - checks to deposit, speeding ticket, etc.
Dishes.
Put away diaper laundry.
Cuddle with my kids.
Daydream about how I get to spend the weekend with my family....

WOTB: Sadie - still in sposie, for a few more minutes, Amelia - regular white-edge prefold snappied under a Thirsties cover - just like always

WFD: Way too early to think about that...

QOTD: When was the first time you cut your dd's hair? Why did you decide to do it then? Sadie has never had her hair cut, but I'm toying with the idea. It's very long and a little curly, but it has two layers from her rubbing the back of her head bald scooting around on her back. Washing and combing is often a battle, unless she wants to "look like a princess", but she can only sit still so long.

Re: FRiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiday! Basically!

question of the day:

DD is still a newborn, but I cut DS's hair when he started growing a rat tail and dh said it looked like a mullet. He was about 18mos. I didn't really cut it as much as just even it out and cut off the "rat tail." I thought it was a cute curl and saved it I still want it to get long

Reminds me of what the guy who got kicked off Survivor last night said during the show "Mama said there'd be days like this". Hope your day gets better from here on out

AOTD: DD1 we cut sometime between 2-3. She had a major mullet. Beautiful silky straight blong hair. But after we cut it, she was so adorable with a cute little bob!

DD2 had curly brown hair. We just cut it for the first time one year ago...so she was 3 1/2. We just cut about an inch off the ends. Her hair is really long.

DD3: We just cut for the first time Tuesday. She's 2. Again, just like dd1, silky, straight mullet. So it's just about a bob now with bangs.

It's so hard to do!!!!!

That can be so frustrating! Hope you get a nap today!

WOTB: Sandy's w/ thirsties cover. Let me tell ya'll. I got my Sandy's in the mail yesterday and I could just assume have nothing else. They are the most awesome fit! She hasn't actually peed in one yet. But it appears I can pull them up and down like a pull-up so as we approach potty-training I think they're going to be really useful!

POTD (praise of the day): DD2 slept all night in big girl panties with no accident!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

WOTA:
Empty & reload dishwasher
Wash, Dry, Fold, & Put away Laundry
Finish Grocery List
Grocery Store while grandma watches girls
Make BBQ Chicken Pizza for grandparents and us to have tonight

We use strictly prefolds and wool all night and had no leaks, i am loving this wool thing! i have to admit i was skeptical on how wool would leave them dry. But i must say, it works!! and fabulously.
