Fleece vs Wool Diaper Covers/Soakers

Which do you prefer and why? What kind of prep does fleece need? I'm new to both wool and fleece, but I know a tiny bit more about the wool. Even got a pair of wool longies! Thanks, Mamas!

I personally prefer wool b/c it is a natural fibre and breathes better.

Fleece requires no prep at all. You wash it in the machine with your regular laundry. Fabric softener is okay for fleece.

Right now, I'm loving my fleece. It's so easy to care for, and I don't have to worry about being too careful with it because it's so cost-effective.

I'm really curious about this too, I have an aristocrats that I use at night and like, but I need something else too. Would fleece work as well?

I am not into wool because of the whole lanolin thing. However I LOVE our Fleece!!! I cannot say enough about it. I love that it is soft and comfy and it works. Also that it is so easy to care for. Wash with regular laundry. NO SPECIAL CARE!!!

I'm glad you asked this question cuz I've been wondering the same thing. Fleece is about half the price of wool though, so I'm going to try that first!

Fleece longies and wool longies are fairly evenly matched, imo. However, the fleece soaker with extra in the wet zone might be your best bet.

DD couldn't do fleece soakers because she is a heavy wetter. I ended up with a wet couch. I prefer interlock wool with an extra layer in the wet zone.

Royal Buns are great, and I have even washed them in the machine and they came out fine. Ewe Need It has lanolin spray if you are nervous about lanolizing. It is totally worth it and nice and easy.
