Re: MALWARE is back! virus just tried to download on my computer!!

This ahs popped up on my computer a few times. My boyfriend accidentally downloaded that virus called spyguard 2009 that pops up on here and it was a pain to get rid of. But I finally got rid of it with Webroot Internet Security software and stopzilla. But it basically slowed down the internet and everything and took over windows security.

Re: MALWARE is back! virus just tried to download on my computer!!

I posted this last night on another thread.

Ok, I'm on a brand new Dell laptop (as in got it today) Automaticly got on our home network and come here first. Only, I was redirected as well. The screen was exactly as above. I am on the Beta (newest) version of FireFox. I have a firewall and couple different things I use to scan for spyware/virus/trojans. I havent found any (thank God) after closing the window and x on the pop up, but they were from here! There is no other expaination.

Re: MALWARE is back! virus just tried to download on my computer!!

ok, happened again on a different computer and ONLY when I go to DS, so I'm pretty convinced it is from this site. Who do we report this to so it can be fixed??

As a software engineer with a Masters degree in computer science, I DO know how to protect myself from being infected, but that doesn't prevent me from being hijacked. I have been hijacked at least 3 times in the last 2 days ONLY when visiting DS. Thankfully I knew how to exit and avoid being infected.

If any of you do get hijacked, don't click the box or anything. Hit ctrl+shift+esc which brings up the taskmgr. Find the process (chrome.exe, firefox.exe or iexplore.exe) and kill it. And then go scan yourself with ccleaner and AVG.

HTH!

Re: MALWARE is back! virus just tried to download on my computer!!

Happened three more times today to me... two different computers. Same IP address. Did the freeze up thing when first loading DS - the bar at the top loaded and then switched to the hijack screen. Did it twice on my desktop and once on the laptop.

Running a virus scan now. So far, 77,000+ files scanned ... 1 risk found... have yet to see what that risk is and if I can get rid of it...

Re: MALWARE is back! virus just tried to download on my computer!!

Okay, so I tried with IE, DS stalls out. My privacy settings are really strict and the log indicates the following sites have been blocked from adding cookies:

1) c7.zedo.com/img/bh.gif?n=162&g=20&a=20&s=2&t=e

2) ad.yieldmanager.com/imp?Z=300x250&s=538426&r=1&_salt=268314003&u=http% 3A%2F%2Fwww.diaperswappers.com%2F

3) ad.yieldmanager.com/iframe3?qjEAADk3CACVaRoArbglAAIAAAAAAP8AAAAHEglAAg FveQwAAAAAAAA (and on and on with AAAAA and a few other things)

4) googleads.g.doubleclick.net/pagead/ads?client=ca-pub-8808028116415421&dt=1236471689156&output=html&slot name=6448219181&correlator=1236471689156&url=http% 3A%2F%2Fwww.diaperswappers.com%2F&ea=0&ref=http%3A %2F%2Fwww.diaperswappers.com%2F&loc=httphttp%3A%2F %2F

The ad that finally loads (after about 5 minutes) is the Rhapsody MP3 Store "Start Now" Music without limits and that one doesn't appear to be causing issues. The rest of the page showed up just afterwards.

Now, that brings me to another question... WHY exactly are these ads putting cookies on my computer???

Edit: I just realized the right side pane ad did not load while the top and bottom did. I'm wondering it it has something to do with my AV settings... This is the ad that was supposed to display: <a href='http://ads.escalatemedia.com/www/delivery/ck.php?n=a9a139a6&amp;cb=3564875423' target='_blank'><img src='http://ads.escalatemedia.com/www/delivery/avw.php?zoneid=24&amp;n=a9a139a6' border='0' alt='' /></a>

And on reload I got a whole 'nother set that was blocked.

One from view.atdmt.com, two from a.tribalfusion.com and one more from googleads.g.doubleclick.net

Once again the ad on the right pane did not load.

Re: MALWARE is back! virus just tried to download on my computer!!

QUESTION FOR EVERYONE:

Has anyone who has gotten this hijack, had it occur on any page other than the main page ("Home" from the top bar, the page that loads by default when you go to "http://www.diaperswappers.com/"?)
