Congrats Shannon!!!!! It was great to hear your story. Yeah natural isn't a piece of cake, but it is sooo worth it. The best thing is a few months after it is all over with, you can just sit back and say yeah I'd do it again.

Re: I did it

My 2nd dd was a drug-free pitocin induced. I hated it. It took 12 hours. When I got pg again I was asking for the epidural by month 7. I feel guilty for saying it, but when i was induced with the twins, I got the epi as soon as the pain hit and it was the fastest, smoothest, best labor of all three of them. I don't think I'd wish a med-free pitocin birth on anyone. I'm glad you got through it though and I'm really proud of you! Get some rest and snuggle up that baby bundle!

SAME thing the night DD was born. I was a week late and it had been sunny for weeks. Woke up that morning to rain and labor! All the nurses said they were close to running out of beds and kept blaming the rain.

Congrats!! Sleep tight!

Re: I did it

Holy Heck, woman! I can't believe you did it after all you went through! I have had 2 unmedicated births (one I tried, but it didn't work!) and I won't do it EVER AGAIN!

Anyway, Congrats on your sweet baby girl!

Re: I did it

I was GBS positive, and I had my baby too fast for antibiotics, so I was stuck in the hospital for FIVE DAYS while they monitored DS. It was awful I wish I had gotten to the hospital earlier.
