Question Could it be??? PTing???

Ok, slowly I'm having the feeling, DS is getting ready to PT (which on one hand I'm feeling like and on the other hand like lol) but I'm not really sure...
A few days ago he started telling me when he pooped. Now since today he suddenly starts ripping on his dipes, whining and even walking 'funny' and I asked him if he peed and he answered 'yes' (more like an "uh huh" but in combo w/a nodding head I know it means yes). I took the dipe off and could see it was really fresh pee (just beginning to soak through the PF)!

I'm honestly a bit astonished; DS will be 17 month Dec12th and I never expected him to start so early! (Granted, DD was PT'ed ~22 months, but that was also b/c she went to day care 3x/week since being 19 mo. old and there they had a routine to sit on the potty after snack time...)

So, now my ? is: Do you think it's possible that he's ready to PT?
If so, should I get a potty and encourage him to use it? If so, how? (I know, I sound like a 1st time mommy but honestly, with DD it went so peaceful for me b/c of the day care situation helping me out a lot in these regards)

I'd appreciate your input, mamas!

I would say that he is getting close! My ds started like that when he would tell me as soon as he peed! I never put any diaper cover on him because he would tell me as soon as he peed so never had to worry about that!!!!

My ds2 potty trained in a week at 19 months old! Never looked back. He would still wear a diaper to bed, but that takes more time!

Congrats mama! You may have a big boy soon!!!

Re: Could it be??? PTing???

My DS is also a July 05 baby and at 13mo started to tell me when he needed to go peepee and poopoo. He got up to going in the potty atleast 4 times a day and would even be in the car crying to go potty and when we got to a place where I could take him in he was still dry. Crazy...I too was sad but happy. I never pushed but would ask him everyonce in a while and he always went.....Untill now.... We went on a trip for 3 days and since we got back almost a month ago now he doesn't want anything to do with it. I figure he'll let me know if he wants to try again untill then we still get to CD ....So after that long post he might be starting to.....It sounds just the way DS started. I wonder if we hadn't been gone if he'd be PTd

MY DD was PLed at 22months....and this is how it started.

I know your addiction is strong but, its for the better to go ahead and follow his lead.

Sam,
you're right, my addiction requires a 12 step program but at least I'd get to look for some cute trainers (are there any?? ) b4 we're completely done
