Re: Anyone else getting viruses while on this site?

I have not encountered any issues like what everyone is describing. I have the ads and pop ups disabled, that might be why.

yes lots and lots of people are having problems with spyware/virus' from this site, but Lee's Idea of handling it is to ignore it and call the ones who tell him that there are these things on ds computer ignorant.

Re: Anyone else getting viruses while on this site?

Here is the thread I started last year:

http://www.diaperswappers.com/forum/...d.php?t=560098

What worked for me was using Firefox and loaded the ad blocker. I haven't had any problems lately until last night. I had to use Explorer for another site for an application to work, and I have DS set up as my home page. As soon as Explorer came up, I was sent to the malware site and had to CTRL ALT DEL. It has to be one of the ads again.

I haven't had a single problem with Firefox, though.

Does anyone still get this coming up while using Firefox w/AdBlock Plus?

no probs @ home (w/ Spybot S&D, Firefox w/ABP)
but at work (shhhhh)

just happened. can't install SBS&D but did add on ABP to firefox and it's not happening now so....seems like it may be one of their ads...the admin REALLY can't locate the source of this junk?

Re: Anyone else getting viruses while on this site?

it happened yesterday too (we had this problem on here a few months ago as well.) - I was actually redirected to another site... which sounds like spyware or malware. I've not had the virus try to install yet. My Avast catches it tho'... hopefully the top people will get it fixed... If they don't then I know myself, and many others just won't be able to come here any longer.

I'm not having any problems on Firefox, but I did as soon as I tried Explorer with the ads!

Re: Anyone else getting viruses while on this site?

From what I hear I don't know if admin is even trying to locate it.

I have firefox and ad blocking on (not nec. adblocker+ tho')... I've not upgraded to the newer firefox yet.

It's really in the admin's best interest to be proactive on this sort of thing... If users start disappearing then advertisers will jump ship...

BTW, what I'm talking about isn't the intrusive ads, altho' one started up yesterday right before my avast come up. It was one that had yellow honey type stuff coming down from the top of the ad area.
I'm sure those ads aren't that hard to hack.

Re: Anyone else getting viruses while on this site?

If you check the other thread, there are mamas who thought they were safe using Firefox, with ABP, but they were infected as well. Just be careful. I just went to www.malwarebytes.org, and did scan, 5 trojan horses!! YAY!!!! Gotta love DS!
