Does a preschooler(age 3.5) ride the school bus?

Does a preschooler(age 3.5) ride the school bus?
DD is supposed be going to some early childhood speech classes and i am trying to fill out the paperwork and one of the questions is if she will ride the bus. I have no idea how to answer.

I wouldn't put my preschooler on the bus. It depends on the school if that is even an option.

I wouldn't, my DD is 3.5 years old and still sits in a 5 point harnessed carseat....I don't think she is mature enough to handle sitting on a school bus properly, espically if it's a older one with no seat belts (that thought alone just scares me). We're very lucky to have all her thearpy here at the house, so I don't even have to worry about that aspect....

Yup, I agree with the OP...I'd never even let my 4 year old ride on a bus, he is in a 5-pt harness, NO exceptions!

My older Nephew just turned 3 in Jan and started going to Preschool. The School offers Pick up and Drop off transpotation. The Buses are actually either full size/mini vans and they provide the carseat.

My son was 2 turning 3 for his first year of pre-school and they picked him up, with 5-point harness carseat already installed on the bus. All the kids had them.

My daughter (3.5 with Down syndrome) takes the bus. She's in a 5 point harness.

As long as I can take my children to and from where they need to be, they will not ride the bus. My friend's son goes to occupational therapy and they provide transportation; he does ride the bus there and has since he was 3. It was a relief to his mom since it's a 30 minute drive one way and she had two other kids, also in different kinds of therapy (the kids are siblings she fostered and adopted and they all have some kind of issues from abuse and neglect.) As long as they are properly harnessed, I suppose it's fine.

we have mini buses and ALL the kids ride in a 5 point harness.

we made sure she would have a seat and they provided one.

except my dd is 4 now. our bus got a new child recently and they bought a new 5 pt harness for her from costco.
