Re: Why about yarn
what about longies...if i wanted longies i would have to get 2 skeins right? but sometimes they don't have 2 they only sell one. I'm just sad
sometimes i see the cutest colors but not enough yarn...maybe it's fate maybe i shouldn't be the one to own that wonderful yarn

Re: Why about yarn
I can do shorties with 4 oz
Usually up to about a large, and I get trim to be safe. If you knit on appropriate needles you should be all set. If you knit on a little smaller needle you'll need more yarn.

Re: Why about yarn
I think the reasoning behind 3.5 and 4 oz skein's is because they come that way undyed. To get 5 or 6 oz, they would need to break up an 8ox or 1lbs skein, and it doesn't divide as evenly

Re: Why about yarn
It bothers me, too. I like to have an option for a matching headband, or maybe a baby blanket or something. And the really nice stuff I use for me.
That's on reason why I love Elliebelly, she gives you option for more skeins with the listing (which I always buy, lol). So I end up getting enough yarn for a nice sized shawl for me. The baby has enough stuff. Sometimes I want something for me.
