Re: For the mamas who switched their babies to whole milk

My 3yr old I tried to switch him at a year but his stomach wasnt ready. The docs put him on soy formula for older babies till he was 18 months then went to milk. My 1 year old switched fully at a year. I started at 11 months mixing small amounts into formula till it got to full sippy cups of milk at a year.

Re: For the mamas who switched their babies to whole milk

I've only switched my twins at 1 yr because they have had bottles all their lives and when they hit a year we couldn't get formula anymore. (They are breastfed, but they get bottles at bedtime) Anyway, we give them lactose-free whole milk, and it works much better for them.

We switched at a year, but we have now switched to raw milk. It is much yummier and I hear easier to digest because it isn't homogenized or pasturized.

Re: For the mamas who switched their babies to whole milk

My oldest at a year, my 2nd DS drank soy milk from around a year until he turned 2 (he couldn't handle cows milk) and I started giving my DD whole milk in a cup at 10 months. She was still nursing very, very often and was eating a varied diet so I was comfortable with her drinking whole milk instead of breastmilk from a cup. She only drank a couple ounces a day at first but by a year was drinking 2-4 oz with each meal.
