Disposables "mis-information" campaign

From the Huggies Website

No more or less so than disposable diapers. In modern landfills, most materials, including food and yard waste, degrade very slowly, if at all, due to the absence of air, moisture and sunlight. Disposable diapers make up less than 2 percent of landfills, compared to 40 percent for paper (e.g. old newspapers, office waste).
First of all, what's their citing? Secondly, if that's true, what they don't tell you is that that 40% of paper has a higher turn over rate and doesn't take 10 million years to break down.

Also, that 2% effectively helps prevent the breakdown of the 40% organics.

I can't believe people really believe this crap.

Re: Disposables "mis-information" campaign

Im not sure if people actually "believe" it as much as they just want to feel a little better. So they ok well it will decompose somewhat Most people who use disposables(that I know) have never even read the package, much less researched what they are putting into our enviroment

Why didn't they just stop at the first sentence? It's true, and not subject to debate.
