Bleeding after internal? Normal?
Im 37w2d and had an internal again today. I have tons of contractions so my OB starts checking me early (ds came at 36 weeks). Today I am already 3cm and he doesn't think I'll go much longer. DH thinks tomorrow LOL! Anyway, I am having bright red bleeding. Not heavy, but enough to saturate my underwear (sorry for the TMI) and some when I wipe. Is this a normal part of being checked or is something more happening? This didn't happen when I was checked with DD and with DS I never got that at. Thanks for any help

Re: Bleeding after internal? Normal?
if you are having any contractins at all i would call -- bleeding can be show, from you dilating... I just worry you are dilating and don't know it! Wouldn't want babe too come too quick.
I say... when in doubt, give a call! Your docs are probably at hospital anyways, don't worry about waking them up (its 1 am here, I don't know whwere you are =) |

Re: Bleeding after internal? Normal?
I don't know because I remember when I got checked at the beginning of my pregnancy and I bled some. I say call the doctor to make sure

Re: Bleeding after internal? Normal?
I don't think bright red bleeding should ever be ignored, I would call your doc - sometimes it can mean bigger things than just being irritated.

Re: Bleeding after internal? Normal?
I just got back from my first internal exam and my doctor warned that I could spot afterwards but didn't mention how much or if it will be bright.

Re: Bleeding after internal? Normal?
That does sound like a lot of bleeding. I would call and check.

Re: Bleeding after internal? Normal?
I have not. To me-- bright red means doc. I'd call.
