Hi! I make and use both. I use wool when I want her to be extra cute, I use fleece when she is going to be getting dirty.

PS, if you get Malden Mills fleece instead of the cheap Joann's stuff, it stays nice looking alot longer. It doesnt really get pilly. The Joanns/hancocks stuff has cute patterns, but is just not the same quality.

And, recycled wool or cashmere is less expensive than knit or interlock, and just as good. I have some cashmere that I prewash before sewing with, so it is machine washable, if you do not want to use a lanolin wash.
