Good Brownie recipes?

Anyone have any great brownie recipes? My dh loves brownies but is soooooo picky about them. He loves them to be super chocolately, but not gooey. Anyhow, thought I'd pick you guys' brains out there and see if anyone has a brownie recipe that they just love!

Re: Good Brownie recipes?

I have not made these yet (planning to today), but my boyfriend loves them.

Fantastic Fudge Brownies

1 C. butter, melted
5 heaping TBSP. Hershey's cocoa
2 C. white sugar
4 eggs, beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
1 C. flour
1 C. chopped walnuts or pecans

Melt the butter, add the cocoa and stir gently to blend. Add the sugar and beat well. Add the beaten eggs and vanilla, stirring well. Blend in the flour, fold in the nuts. Place in greased 9 X 13" pan. Bake at 350 for 40-45 minutes. sides will be dry looking but middle will appear underdone. DO NOT OVERCOOK, these are supposed to be moist and chewy. Toothpick inserted should come out slightly sticky, not with gobby bits but just sticky. Cool completely and then ice with butter icing.

Butter Icing

1/2 C. soft butter
1/4 C. (rounded) cocoa
1 tsp. vanilla
2 C. confectioners sugar
3 TBSP. milk

Beat the butter, add cocoa and vanilla. Stir until absorbed, then add confectioners sugar. Beat well. Add milk until icing forms softness you desire. I like a stiffer icing for the brownies.

Re: Good Brownie recipes?

We luv these, they are fudgy tho, so I dunno.

3/4 cup baking cocoa
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
2/3 cup butter, melted,and divided
1/2 cup boiling water
2 cups sugar
2 eggs
1 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 (12 ounce) bag semi-sweet chocolate chips

In a large bowl, combine cocoa and baking soda.
Blend in 1/3 cup melted butter.
Add boiling water, stir until well blended.
Stir in sugar, eggs, and remaining butter.
Add flour, vanilla, and salt.
Stir in pecans and chocolate chips.
Pour into a greased 13x9x2-inch pan and bake at 350 degrees F for 35-40 minutes, or until brownie starts to pull away from sides of pan.
Cool, cut into squares.

Thanks for the link! I made a double batch of these yesterday and my dh said that they are the BEST brownies he ever had. After taking some to the staff at the Y, and two dinners here at home, they are long gone!!! YUMMY!
