Stumped by this rash

The past couple of weeks my ds has had a rash/irritation on his waist in the front (where the top of the diaper lays) and his inner thighs. I use gmd prefolds and sweet iris flats snappi'd under Thirsties duo covers. It looks like little red dots but not raised and doesn't seem to bother him at all. I use Tide powder detergent filled to the 2nd line in a top loader set to large load. My wash routine is rinse, wash on hot, rinse. Since the rash showed up I've tried bleach, rlr, multiple extra rinses (all at different times), and fleece covers without any success. Any ideas?

Matbe a PUL sensitivity? That's where it would be in contact w/ his skin. Or if your weather turned warm, maybe it's heat rash from where the PUL is.

Mine did that. The doctor said it was fragrance sensitivity. I started bathing her less often and using fragrance free soap. When I do diaper laundry I use Tide powder in the first load and Seventh Gen free and clear in the second. It stopped after that.

By load, I mean wash cycle. That was confusing.

Sounds to me like heat rash. DS gets it a lot because he's always sweaty. Do you live in warm climate?

Could it be eczema? That's what our ongoing mystery rash turned out to be .... Switching to wool helped a lot.

Yep. We live in Florida. Did you find something that helped your DS?
