Is the elastic wearing out?

Mamas, what do you think?

My stash is almost entirely one-size pockets. I've been using these since OD was 9 months old (she PL'ed at 27 months) and now YD is 16 months old. She moved into the one-size stash around 3 months. I wash every day-and-a-half to 2 days. I rarely bleach my shells (have only done so when I suspected yeast) and air-dry 95% of the time.

We've been having nonstop leaks! I'm almost certain that it's not due to repelling, and also certain that it's not an absorbency issue. Yesterday I realized that the Charlie Banana she was wearing was totally stretched out in the leg! But the majority of my stash (like 23 diapers) is comprised of Knickernappies, which are made with "lastin" which supposedly doesn't "go out" like regular elastic. I can't really tell by looking at them if they are stretched out, but I wonder if the diapers are all, uniformly stretching out and getting loose. Is that possible? Even with lastin? These diapers get a lot of use, and this IS child #2 who's wearing them.

What do you think? Is it possible for lastin to fail? Is it plausible that all the diapers are stretching out around the legs at a pretty uniform rate such that I wouldn't be able to really tell that they've stretched? When I put the diapers on they don't feel loose around the leg. But, she's been on the same snap setting since she was 3 months (admittedly, the diapers were a bit big on her then).

Is the PUL shot? Were they in storage for a while in between kids?

What inserts are you using? Have you ever stripped them?

I'd try using a different insert (a folded flat or something) & if there is no leak, it's probably the inserts.

The PUL is fine. The diapers were stored in the bedroom closet between kids.

I ditched the microfiber long ago in favor of prefolds or flour sack towels. They are absorbing, just not all the liquid all the time.

Sounds like you just might need more absorbentcy.

Did you turn the pockets inside out to check the PUL? It goes bad on the inside.

Did you recently change the rise? I keep trying to "let out" the rise on DD OS covers and it keep causing leaks and I bringing it back down.

Other option is maybe its time to let out the rise if its been awhile.

Also my LO is almost 2 and is getting potty ready. She can hold it 2-3hr and flood if she wants.
