How many kids do you have and how many did you want?

We have 3 girls, but I would like one more.

I could never decide how many I wanted for sure. DH would've been happy with one. We have three. DH got snipped, so we are not likely to have more, but I'm okay with that. I'm also okay with there being more.

Before we started having kids, I wanted 3 or 4. DH wanted 2, but if they were the same gender he said he would go for a 3rd. That was all before we knew we would be using IVF for all of our kids. Now, we have 3 children living in our house and 6 embryos (babies to me) living in the freezer. I don't know how many we will end up with, but we do intend to transfer all of them (not at the same time. ). Now, seeing my kids and knowing they started out just like the 6 in the freezer, I really want all 6 of them, so 9 total. Realistically, that won't happen. So, even though I'm praying all 6 survive, I'm realistically hoping for at least 3 more to survive for a total of 6.

Interesting! I feel/felt the EXACT same way. I've always wanted 4. After my first two babies, I felt almost immediately after their births that I wanted another. After #3, I'm really not sure, for many many reasons.

But just today in fact, I was going through some clothes to take to the thrift store and swooped out all my babies clothes to give away, wondering why am I keeping baby clothes? if I don't think we are having another baby? THIS IS SO HARD TO DO!!! Because I would LOVE to have another girl. I am thankful to have one girl and two boys, but I still wish for another daughter.

DH has always said and tells anyone who asks if we're done that it's my decision But lots of times he tells me that he does think 3 is enough. Who knows how I might feel in a couple years? I'm 32 years old.

Dh wanted 2 or 3, and I wanted 3 or 4. We had our 1st 8 years ago, and our 2nd 6 years ago and our 3rd 10 months ago.We are both 40, so we're 99%sure we are done, although no Dr. s appointments have been made yet.....

I wanted 3, my hubby wants 2 - we will *probably* stop at 2 but keep the door open just in case. I always joke that if I have another girl, my hubby will want a third to try for a boy so I will get my way

We said 2, and we have 2. We are very done. I had a hard pregnancy with the last and I am just done. Makes me really sad though...
