I am wanting to boil some diapers I think...I ve been using them for 2mths and never have.
Some need to be sunned, should I wait & sun them first? Will the boiling help remove any stains? Do I add anyhting to the water when I boil? My diapers & liner are made of either cotton OR hemp. Its rained all week here and I am getting tired of waiting for the sun to come out long enough to put them out....and I am officially out of diapers today... |

Re: Boiling diapers???
i would boil them first. but that's just me. the boiling MAY take out some stains but i'm not positive on that......i figure a hot wash alone can take out some staining why couldn't boiling water?

I've heard of people boiling dipes (fitteds, prefolds, etc.) but there has been some discussion as to whether or not you can boil pockets, etc. (because of the snaps and things that could melt!) HTH!

Re: Boiling diapers???
liners, aplix fitted (that DO need covers), liners, boosters, doublers, ect. stuff like that. my aunt had to boil my cousin's diapers after washing them everytime b/c her skin was super sensitive. it works nicely from what i understand. it was the only way my cousin could wear any dipes!
