My lo has always been a little different then my other two whenit comes to sleeping. I have always felt like she is not getting enough but she won't sleep longer no matter what. Her schedule is:
5 wakes and gets brought into our bed
7:30-8 wakes up
2-5pm naps
8:30 pm down for the night

my other two always had a morning nap until they were 18 months. This lo has had a few but then won't sleep in the afternoon or will fall asleep at 4 and not go to bed until 11 or 12 so I vetoed the morning nap. If she seems really tired she goes to bed around 1pm

My 16 month old DD's sleep schedule is like this:

wake up between 7:30-8:30am
nap time 1 to1 1/2 hours from 10:30am-12:30pm
every 2nd or 3rd day an extra nap around 3-4pm for about 45 minutes
sleep between 8-9:30pm

lately she has been teething and is extra cranky. I let her fall asleep in my arms and she has been waking more during the night.

This will pass I am sure-just be there for your LO.

thank you SO much everyone. this has been so helpful and reassuring. i think we discovered the source of our sleep troubles this weekend. little guy is popping his first molar!

we are all doing much better now that we know what we are dealing with!

today, i happened to have to push him to do one nap and it did not go over well. i was trying to keep him awake in the car (he doesn't transfer well), fell asleep immediately at ~11:15am, slept until 12:30pm, then was asleep before i finished singing his bedtime song just after 6:30pm.

he is definitely still a 2 nap/day guy, thank goodness!
his normal schedule matches many listed above (although those of you whose babes sleep until 7am or later should thank whomever you can. i am envious!)

Here is my 16 mo DS' schedule:

6 AM wake for the day
11 AM Nap until about 1 pm, sometimes longer
6:30 PM In Bed

He transitioned to 1 nap around 12-13 months, how I miss two naps...but this schedule seems to work for him

DD is 16 mo and switched to 1 nap right around 1yo

5:30am wake
12:30 - 2:30 or 3 nap
7pm bed
11:00pm nurse
4:00am nurse
