Re: Dumbo -- sensitive preschooler! yours?

I was a very sensitive child... Even still, I can't watch the part of The Lion King where Mufasa dies

My DD is very emotional as well. There is an episode of Diego that used to bring her to tears EVERY time she watched it. There was a little baby Chinchilla that was hanging of a tree and she would scream and cry with fear that the baby might fall... I'm not sure why she'd get upset EVERY time (wouldn't she figure out that it turns out okay???) but she did.

She is 6 now and she's still very emotional. Yesterday she was watching A Little Princess and the headmistress was treating Sara badly after her father "died." Ambrosia got so upset that she threw something at the TV. She was honestly emotionally distressed. I couldn't really say much, as I am empathetic to a fault. She clearly gets it from me. I do hope she grows a thicker skin, though. She's already suffering socially at school because of her sensitivity

On a side not: I am STILL terrified of escalators

I'm C.
